  1. In relation to Paper, you should explain exactly what the title refers to and why it is so significant to gambling, gains on the stock market and ultimately the conclusion of the story.
The paper is significant as it represented gambling gains on the stock market as paper is very brittle and vulnerable to tearing or other forms of damages easily just like how gambling results.Eventually, when Tay Soon died, her mother bought a paper house which was very grand for him to use in the afterlife and tay soon died due to his paper profits and loss over which caused him to be too sad and broke his personality.

2.
For The Rocking Horse Winner, write a paragraph of 100 words in which you point out who was responsible for Paul’s death.

I think the parents were responsible for Paul's death. They were obsessed with money, saying,"There must be more money", the whole day. The mother then complained about how poor they were and that it was due to luck which was why they were poor. In the end, perphaps either to stop the talk about there must be more money or to help the family, Paul became obsessed with horse racing so that he can give money to his mother who seemingly became even greedier and wanted even more. However, his horse racing eventually harmed him and caused him to die.
