I am speechless!
Friday, April 2, 2010

Just a few minutes before, I visited MacRumours, a website to read up on the latest Ipad news. However, there
was nothing much. Scrolling down to the current affairs, I saw a very horrifying title. I skipped reading the post
and just visited the link in the post. I was speechless.

This is the short version. A 7 year old girl was sold by her 15-year old stepsister and gang raped by 7 men.
Apparently, the step-sister first had sex with for money with several men and left her in the living room. She then
gave the younger sister some money and ask her to let the men touch her. Then, the step-sister watched her get
molested. It soon escalated to rape and the 7-year old girl was threatened not to scream or they would kill her.
Read more at:

Currently, one man, Gregory Joseph Leary has been arrested. He has been charged with statutory rape and
endangering the welfare of a child. Under New Jersey law, the 15-year-old is too young to consent to sex.
However, police are stll investigating whether Mr Leary was involved with the rape of the seven-year-old. "Police
believe up to a dozen people were at the party and that everyone who was in the apartment when the rape
occurred could be legally culpable" quoted from the australian.( The link is above)

Personally, I feel disgusted by such an act.No human being should even think of doing this sort of act. Words
cannot describe my feelings. I feel like puking and I doubt that the girl even knows the meaning of sex. This rape
would mentally scar her forever. I hope that the culprits and her sister would be tried for their crimes and be put
behind bars so that they cannot do such things again. Meanwhile, the younger sister could be counselled and her
mental scars could be healed.

In the meantime, readers tell me what you feel and how do you think the culprits' sentence should be.
