Preparing for EOY exams
Saturday, September 19, 2009

Exams are what students dread. THE picture above probably shows some of our class members being stressed out and burning the midnight oil. However, although I like many other students dread exams a LOT( I often find myself shaking before the start of exams). However, surprising, during exam time, I no longer become afraid and instead look forward to the questions unless I cannot solve the problem of course.

These are the few ways I think that we can prepare for the exams.

Start early- Do not wait till the last MINUTE before you start preparing, I repeat please do not, those who do will find themselves with poor grades unless they are really really good. I have experienced this before. Try to prepare everyday, dont try to cram all the information all at one go, memorise information a few pages per day and the day before the.

Burning the midnight oil- Try to sleep early the day before the exam, so you will be able to take on the exam with a fresh mind which will enable you to think easier. However, weirdly, I often tend to revise my science till quite late and still managed to think with a fresh mind, probably the excitement which is like caffeine to me, i guess.

Drawing a revision timetable- Allocate your time well and stick to the timetable, I mean even if you draw a timetable and watch television or surf the net during study time, It would not work at all.

Good luck for EOY exams, 1A1 class members!
