- The casino being built in Singapore is supposed to be a money-maker and job creator. However, many people have spoken against it. Talk to a parent or adult and get their view on the casino. Listen to the NPR and YouTube offerings and choose one that substantiates your viewpoint and include a quote from it as well. Your blog entry has to be at least 200 words and you must either support the casino or condemn its construction and ultimately the hardships it will cause in Singapore
Personally, I do encourage the building of the casino because it is could bring about many benefits such as to helping Singapore to scale to new heights ,increased leisure for people who gamble and increasement in the number of jobs which could help decrease employment numbers and increasing tourism in Singapore which could help raise money for other matters. The casion can also bring in revenue for the government who could use it in other plans and schemes. However, although some people may disagree as they feel that gambling is potential social hazard and could cause many problems such as:
1)gambling addiction
2)borrowing of money from loan sharks
3)bankrupty
4)family relationships degration
5)hitting of family perphaps due to loss of money
However, the 100 dollars fee to get in could potentially restrict gamblers from getting in since they are already losing before entering. Even if the fee does not restrict them, the family members could still apply for a ban to restrict their family from gambling at all, and thus, the problem is solved and the benefits are still thereThus, i support the casino. Furthermore, there are other ways of gambling already before the casino was planned to build such as internet poker-"
